Oppose All Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants !
There are too many amnesty bills under consideration to list here by title and number. They do have one thing in common. None of them explicity calls for "amnesty" (that would be bad polotics). However, all of them would grant amnesty under other names, such as "earned legalization" (H.R. 2899 and S. 1461). would effectively grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
Withdraw Normal Trade Relations with China !
Contact your representative and senators immediately in support of H.R. 3228, a bill to withdraw normal trade relations treatment from the products of the Peoples Republic of China. This bill would revoke our nations permanent normal trade relations (PNTR) status with China as a way of counteracting the transfer of manufacturing jobs from the U.S. to China.
Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) introduced H.R. 3228 on October 2, 2003. It already has 49 cosponsors.
Let's put a few things into perspective.
There are almost 300 million souls in the United States. 100 million households is a fair estimate. Now, if we interpolate what Congress spends according to household, we see some interesting facts come to light. For each $1 billion spent, the cost to each household is about $10.
A $100 billion expenditure costs the average household about $1000.
A $100 million expenditure costs the average household about $1.
A $1 million expenditure costs the average household about 1 cent.
In simple terms, the United States Government can not spend money on any agency, program, or initiative which is not first approved by the House of Representatives.
All that is needed to stop unconstitutional spending is a simple majority of the House, 218 Representatives, standing tall on the principles of the United States Constitution and voting against all unconstitutional spending.
